16 Miles to Downtown Roanoke

Downtown Roanoke, known as the “Star City of the South,” was once a major railroad hub. Now it is a bustling hub of culture and history. Just a 25-minute drive from Belle Garden Estate, Roanoke offers a mix of indoor and outdoor activities.

Things to Do:

  • Explore the Taubman Museum of Art, featuring stunning exhibits and family-friendly activities.

  • Stroll through the Roanoke City Market, the oldest continuously operating open-air market in Virginia.

8 Miles to Smith Mountain Lake

Often called the “Jewel of the Blue Ridge,” Smith Mountain Lake is a short 10-minute drive from our estate. This popular destination was created in 1963 with the construction of the Smith Mountain Dam. Before the lake existed, the area was home to farmlands and small communities. The dam transformed it into a premier recreational spot.

10 Miles to Rocky Mount

A quick 15-minute drive brings you to the charming town of Rocky Mount, known for its Southern hospitality and vibrant music scene. Rocky Mount is often called the “Moonshine Capital of the World” due to its Prohibition-era history. Established in 1786, Rocky Mount grew as a key trading post in Virginia’s early history. Its rich Appalachian culture still thrives today.
